Maxine was born and raised in New York City and is now living in Toronto where she has a beautiful studio in Little Portugal. Her art is bold, colorful, joyous, and celebratory. Maxine is really inspired by community and what brings us together. Enjoying delicious food and wine around a table with friends is the best thing in the world to her, and she loves to recreate moments in her drawings that reflect that feeling of indulgence and joy. She’s also so invigorated by color and loves to imagine the world around her but with a little extra brightness and whimsy.
