Ingrid is an artist and printmaker based in Edinburgh, where she works from her home studio on the edge of the city, looking towards the Pentland Hills. Proximity to nature and wild places inspires her drawings, along with a good dose of imagination and memories of past travels. All of Ingrid’s lino prints are designed, cut and printed by hand, in editions of between 12 and 48, on Somerset print paper or Awagami washi paper, using a lever press and baren. After a decade spent running a gallery/café/framing shop in central Edinburgh with her partner, it has been a somewhat cathartic experience to reconnect with the making process and have the time and mental space to develop ideas.
