Peel and mince garlic.
Melt butter in a pan over low/medium heat.
Add olive oil, let warm in pan.
Add the garlic and let cook until it barely starts to brown. (Add salt here if you used unsalted butter.)
Add white wine.
Let it simmer on low until sauce thickens (this will cook off the alcohol). You can adjust here and add more butter if you want.
Make angel hair per package instructions and toss with the sauce. Depending on how saucy you want it, this is enough for half a standard box of pasta.
