SMOKED MACKEREL SANDWICH
The mackerel is super smoky and rich. And when you combine it with the creamy yogurt and the dill and the fresh garlic and lemon juice, it’s this perfect combination of strong and silky and smoky and yummy. And the cucumbers add a really nice crunch so not everything in the sandwich is just soft.

SMOKED RAINBOW TROUT BAGEL
Smoked trout on a bagel is such a classic New York City combination, but I think people don’t often think about it who are from out of town. When you combine it with the cream cheese and the fresh tomato and the bitey onion and the salty capers, it’s this combination of flavors that just stacks up and it’s delectable.
How To Make It:
Ingredients:
1 tin fishwife smoked trout
Everything bagel
Tomato
Red onion
Capers
Cream cheese
Salt & pepper
Directions:
Slice your bagel in half and toast to your liking. Thinly slice your tomato and red onion. Flake up your tin of trout. Spread a layer of cream cheese on both sides on the bagel. Top each slice with some capers, sliced tomato, red onion, the trout (try not to get the oil), and finish with salt & pepper to taste.

CHILI CRSIP SMOKED SALMON BOWL
This is one of my favorite lunches out there. It’s got great healthy fats. The kimchi is fermented which is good for your gut. But other than that, it honestly just tastes really good. The salmon in the Fly By Jing chili crisp has a little bit of heat to it, but not too much. It’s such an easy lunch to prepare.
How To Make It:
Ingredients:
1 tin Fishwife smoked salmon in Fly By Jing chili crisp
Cooked rice
Kimchi
Kewpie mayo
Avocado
Sesame seeds
Directions:
Place some cooked warm rice in a bowl. Slice the avocado and place on top. Next, add some kimchi and the smoked salmon, chili oil from the tin and all! Finish with a drizzle of mayo and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

ANCHOVY CAESAR DRESSING
You don’t have to love anchovies to like a good caesar salad dressing made with fresh anchovies because the anchovies just add a saltiness to everything. It doesn’t taste fishy at all. When you buy a caesar salad dressing from from a store in a bottle, it doesn’t have the same authentic flavor as a homemade dressing. Once you realize how easy it is to make, making caesar at home is definitely the way to go.

BERYL’S TUNA SALAD
It’s got such a great kick. I love a spicy tuna salad. And the creaminess of the mayo makes everything really lush. The celery and the pickled jalapeño offer a really nice crunch. This is definitely my favorite way to make tuna salad because it has different textures and different flavors.
How To Make It:
Ingredients:
1 tin Fishwife tuna, drained
Pickled jalapeño peppers
1 stalk celery
Mayonnaise
Salt & pepper
Directions:
Chop the celery and jalapeños into small dices. In a bowl, mix these with the tuna, mayo (to your liking), and salt & pepper to taste. Serve alone or on toast, crackers, or salad greens.

MUSSEL PESTO PASTA
There’s a slight crunch from the toasted breadcrumbs, a lemony kick from the zest and fresh lemon juice, and the mussels in basil pesto sauce are so so delicious. I love mussels in a can because you get all the pleasure of eating them without any of the work. This is definitely a people pleaser dish and one that I would highly recommend.
How To Make It:

SARDINES WITH LEMON ON TOAST
The sardines in preserved lemon have such a bright and beautiful flavor. And mixed with the comté cheese, it’s got creamy nuttiness going on. The chili flakes add a little bit of bite and the toast is super crunchy with the soft sardines on top. It’s a beautiful balance of textures and flavors. With a little side salad this is a perfect meal. Or if you’re just looking for a snack with a bunch of protein, this is a great one.
