Havuç Mezesi

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 medium carrots
  • 1 cup unsweetened, thick yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup crushed walnuts
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Boil the walnuts for about 5 minutes and rinse with cold water to get rid of the bitterness.
  • Melt the butter until it turns a light amber. Add in the paprika.
  • When the walnuts dry up, put them in the butter. Let it simmer. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Grate the carrots.
  • Mince the garlic and mix it with the yogurt. Add in the carrots and salt to taste.
  • Put the butter-walnut mixture on top.
